The Cascades du Hérisson falls are the most popular natural attraction in Franche-Comté and have been listed as a protected site since 2012.
The falls are 6 km from the Domaine du Lac de Chambly and reached by following the Route des Cascades. Follow the same route there and back along the Hérisson river (7.4 km ).
The falls are immensely beautiful whatever the season. Visit early in the morning or at the end of the day to avoid the crowds and enjoy them at their best. The site has a cafeteria and gift shop. The Maison des Cascades visitor centre offers a range of entertaining exhibitions.

Avoid taking the car if you can! Car park charges apply every weekend and on public holidays from April to mid June, and every day from mid June to the beginning of September.
